We are 'Living Stones'

We are 'living stones'

Dear Friends,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

It was a great joy to meet some of you in person during the 4th Sunday Service in September at Rivercourt Methodist Church. This month on 4th Sunday (24th Oct) we will have Worship in person at Rivercourt Methodist Church to celebrate our Annual Bible Sunday. This is a space for us to share our joy, even during this pandemic, for the word of God.

In the New Testament, the First Letter of Peter was addressed to persecuted Christians living in five regions of Asia Minor.  He reminded them that they need to be like newborn infants longing for spiritual milk. “Rid yourselves, therefore, of all malice, and all guile, insincerity, envy, and all slander.  Like newborn infants, long for the pure, spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow into salvation— if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good”. (1Peter 2:1-3). In the Old Testament, David is singing “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105). During this pandemic, we, as LTCC family, have created a space to read the word of God together so as families and friends we can be inwardly strengthened to meet all daily challenges. On Bible Sunday, as usual, we will have a Bible quiz and this year we will have a quiz from the book of Ruth (OT) and Ephesians (NT). This is just to refresh ourselves with those books we have read during Evening Prayers. Please re-read the books and participate in the quiz.

  • This month two Cottage Prayer meetings, with Bible study, will be held on Saturdays  16th and 23rd at 7:00pm.
  • Harrow (2nd Sunday) and Hounslow (3rd Sunday) monthly Worship Services will be at 4:00 pm via Zoom.

The Zoom details are the same as before.

We invite the general congregation to participate in these Worship Services and also the Prayer meetings, whether in person or held via Zoom. For these Prayer meetings if you need any clarification, please contact your Prayer Group Co-ordinators.

May God bless you and your family and to be a great blessing to others.

In His Service
