The flock under His care
Dear Friends
Greetings in Jesus' name.
We are apart from each other for nearly four months in our worshipping life. But God is so great and helping us to join up together through our Sunday Worship pre-recorded videos, Evening Prayer resources, Prayer Group meetings in our Areas and Youth Bible Studies via Zoom. We never forget the fact that we are the flock under God’s care.
What a wonderful gift of technologies God has given the Churches around the world and LTCC is not an exception. We thank God that LTCC is able to make use of these technologies and the resources from the beginning of Lockdown with the foresight to grow in our spiritual journey and to encourage one another in this lockdown situation. Lockdown will continue this month in our LTCC worshipping life. So may I request you to continue our Worships from our Homes with our Families and Friends.
The word ‘Lockdown’ is like two sides of a coin. It may generate pain and anxieties and it may also create Joy and Peace. I can say Lockdown creates a platform and passion for us to understand and proclaim the Gospel within us. When we recognise our own life situations, it increases our faith and Hope on Christ. Now we learn to know that Faith in Christ alone makes us to see things differently and sustains us to have new Hope to move on in our lives.
Annually the month of July brings LTCC’s Fun day (which is called Sports Day of LTCC) and our youngsters always enthusiastically look forward to it every year. But this year we may feel unfortunate not to have the Fun day together. But I encourage you to do your physical exercises with your families to remember the days we spend together during Fun days!
In addition to that may I request you to do spiritual exercise this month. For example, I would like to give you a word from the Bible and do simple spiritual exercise as a way of learning the facts with fun ;
Massah & Meribah
- Explain the words and search and find new meaning from Bible stories/passages which have these words
- Apply these words in your life and draw pictures or write a poem or life story to ponder these in your lives
Enjoy this month with your families and friends with physical and spiritual exercises too!
Encourage one another in your worship time. The 4th Sunday Service this month will be ‘Senior members Participatory Service’. Please introduce this service to your close senior members to worship with you and encourage them to see God’s unfailing presence in their lives.
Have a great Sunday Worship today with the service attached here and the Worship video from LTCC’S website, www.putneychurch.org
Stay Safe and well
God bless
With prayers and Shalom
