Save the Environment
Dear Friends
Greetings in Jesus' name.
We thank God for His gracious gift of giving life to every one of us to enter into this new month!
Every year, the month of September always reminds us of the “Harvest”. In the life of LTCC, we celebrate “Harvest Sunday” to give thanks to God in our Central worships annually on 4th Sunday Services in September.
This month we focus on our responsibility to take care of the environment especially during our Harvest Sunday Service. Though we are in many uncertainties in this present context of COVID 19, the issues with Climate Change are not unavoidable and it opens the way for us to aware of our response towards it. In this year Creationtide -1st September to 4th September, we acknowledge our failures in safeguarding the environment and take up our responsibility as good stewards with our generous hands and grateful hearts to show our concern to safeguard the environment.
Harvest is beautiful. There is no doubt in it. Harvest encourages us to see the goodness of God through the food we get/buy and the people who work in the field. Some of us sow seeds and reap the Harvest from our own Garden. We all have the privilege to have the crops locally or globally, but not all of them have the opportunity.
Importantly during this COVID 19, please thank God for His opportunities for us to use either our Home Garden or the Public open spaces like different Parks in London. We can also ask ourselves; how do we use these places without abusing the environment. May we in this Creationtide dedicate ourselves towards our ongoing responsibilities to save the environment where we live and to save the Planet with our daily lives.
Keep safe and well.
With blessings
Revd Jessie Anand
