Grateful heart

Dear Friends

Greetings in the name of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

A happy and blessed month of June to everyone and also blessed Anniversary of LTCC!

47 years ago a gathering of a few adults, their spouses and children had the thirst to give praises to the Lord by singing their Tamil Lyrics.  That resulted in ‘Putney Church’ in Putney, London and now it is called the ‘London Tamil Christian Congregation’ in Hammersmith.

A small beginning yet still proclaiming the Good News faithfully and bringing people together to worship the Lord in three worshipping centres at South Harrow, Hounslow and Hammersmith - this is the life story of LTCC. This gathering for worship made our hearts grateful to the Lord who was the source of this LTCC family, and He is the everlasting guide in our current work and life of LTCC.

We have so much to be grateful for in the life of LTCC as we celebrate our 47th Year Anniversary. The passionate love in sharing our  faith and culture, the welcoming spirit to show  our embracing love, the oneness in spirit to unite people to achieve things, the caring spirit to know and pray for those who are in need among us, and so many other values which we bring as a sign of solid bricks that built this LTCC faithfully even when we met some unavoidable challenges.

The gratefulness towards Putney Church which I often heard from both the senior and junior members through their connection as members or friends of LTCC encouraged me to see the Christ who is the foundation of LTCC. My heart is full of thanks to God when I hear them saying, “I was baptised, I was confirmed, I was married, I was a Sunday School teacher, I was a Youth leader, I was a Prayer-group coordinator,  I was a  Choir leader/member, I was a Steward, I was a Council member, I was a longstanding member of LTCC” and the list goes on and on.

I would like you to ask yourself at this stage what connection with LTCC makes your heart grateful to the Lord this month as we remind ourselves of completing 47 years in the life of LTCC. Allow space to think and reflect on the blessings which you have received from LTCC. I assure you that you may do a small thing in the life of LTCC, but that small thing makes God very proud of you because in doing the small things we become God’s partners to accomplish His big plans in our life journey.

I wish and pray that LTCC is a great blessing that enables each member to be a channel of building God’s Kingdom as we continue to worship the Lord for His goodness with grateful hearts.

Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift! (2 Corinthians 9:15)

God bless!

In His Service,

Revd Jessie Anand, Minister, LTCC             June 2019
