God’s Mission in our World

God’s Mission in our World

Dear Friends

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

This month our focus in our worship will be about the world and God’s mission in the world.

So the focus of our reflections in our 3 worship services needs to be on  God’s mission which is the greatest concern and highest priority for God’s people. We can go on reflecting together how God so loved the world that He sent His son to give eternal life to those who trust and believe in His Son Jesus Christ.

Every Christian is not only having the identity as Christian but has the prime responsibility to have a transformed life to transform the community.

We share the love of Christ, and to live out the Good News daily Jesus gave us the model of His life and work of 3 and a half years.

Last month the world celebrated the 50th anniversary of Man landing on the moon as a great achievement in our mission in the world. But we live in a world where people still hesitate to go to neighbours’ houses and fail totally to understand the vacuum and loneliness which are experienced by our neighbours, friends and families. The basis of Christian faith enables us to help people to receive God’s peace into their lives.

LTCC’s World Mission Sunday on 25th August will enable us to see this connection between God and the world and how we can be His partner to sow the seeds of hope and peace in the place where we live and where we connect ourselves to others far and near as well.

On the 4th Sunday in August, our children and youth will enact the story of Esther from the Bible and her courageous efforts save the Jewish people. Bring your family and friends to understand the greatest task which God expects from each one of us as a worshipping Christian.

We understand the present world and commit ourselves, as individuals and as members of our own and Church family, to uphold the world to know the love of Christ and to receive His peace.

Come along and strengthen yourself for God’s Mission in the world near and far.

God bless!

Yours in His service
