Enduring and Waiting with Hope

Dear Friends

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ

The month of November is a glorious month in the life of LTCC as we look back on our journey together in the past year and give thanks to God at our AGM.

There is no doubt that our ‘breath’ and our ‘time’ become more meaningful and they are the means of stimulating us to praise God without any doubts and to trust that these are given absolutely from the Lord as His generous gifts to each one of us.

Basically, the month of November reminds us to remember those who have left their meaningful life, faith and love as a legacy for us to treasure ever in our own life journey.

As per the Church Lectionary, on the first day of November, we celebrate All Saints Day, the 2nd day - All Soul’s Day, and 14th of November as Remembrance Sunday. Looking at these dates we celebrate these festivals together on LTCC’s Remembrance Sunday on 28th November at our central Worship Service in person at Rivercourt Methodist Church, Hammersmith. This year Remembrance Sunday generates a special space for us to remember those who have gone before us in this terrible and unexpected COVID situation as well. Please bring the names of those who have departed from your families and friends and we will pray for their lives and thank God for the good memories which they have left with us as well.

We, as baptised Christians, always need to remember those who have departed from us and to trust that we will meet them again as we carry the Hope of Resurrection. More than that, this month we prepare ourselves for the season of Advent by waiting and watching to celebrate Christmas meaningfully and to prepare ourselves to meet our Lord when He comes back again.

There will be two Advent Bible studies conducted during the Cottage Prayer meetings on Saturday 20th Nov and 27th November at 7 pm. Please join via Zoom and encourage your families and friends to participate in the Advent Study.

I hope and pray that we all may rejoice within ourselves, regardless of our life situations, knowing that we are at the end of this year simply because of God’s grace. We are unworthy and undeserving but He makes us worthy and desirable. All glory to him! We join our hands and sing praises to God for His wonderful deeds in our lives throughout the coming days.

May God bless you all.

Have a blessed month!

With blessings
