Easter Joy leads to Eternal life

Easter Joy leads to Eternal life

Dear Friends

Eastertide greetings in the name of our Risen Lord Jesus Christ!

The Risen Lord met Mary in the Garden and His disciples in the locked room and by the Sea of Galilee. He encouraged His disciples, both women and men, and blessed them. The Easter Joy experience is an incredible one because it gives the surprise which is not just temporary. It permeates the eternal life which is a permanent inner joy to those who meet the risen Lord even today in their different life situations. This month, we remember Ascension Day on Thursday 26th of May. On that day I request you all to read Luke 24:44 to the end and to pray for His blessings to be upon our church, our families and the world.

Regarding the Evening Prayer, I am sending the Prayer and the Bible readings for this month as the final Evening Prayer material during this pandemic. As you all know, this was started as a new project during this pandemic. I do trust that this Evening Prayer would have encouraged you all to give priority to gathering with your family and ending each day with prayer. Although this month’s Evening Prayer material is the final one, I ask you all to continue this Evening Prayer with your own plans, having your choices of Songs from our Tamil Hymn Book, and Bible readings and prayers with your family every day.

I am leading a group of 28 Pilgrims to the Holy Land and Jordan from 29th May to 7th June. This is an Ecumenical Pilgrimage with a multicultural group of pilgrims of mixed ages, multi-nationalities, and multi-denominations. I request your prayers for all of us as pilgrims for our safe travel, and for our inspirational reflections so that we grow in our spiritual journey with our Risen Lord.

I also remind you all to share your stories or photos for our Golden Jubilee Wall, to bring your Handwritten Psalm Book for the special Service in June (the June monthly letter will have more information on this) and continually pray for our special Thanksgiving Service and other preparations towards our Golden Jubilee in this year, particularly in June.

Stay safe and encourage one another with the Risen Lord’s nature of forgiveness and gentleness, and pray that every one of us experiences the Easter Joy continually in our life journey.

In His Service
