Connect & reconnect with our Creator
Dear Friends,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Creation teaches us so many things. The Psalmist is saying, “The heavens are telling the glory of God, and the firmament proclaims His handiwork.”( Psalm 19:1)
Summer is an opportunity for us to observe more clearly how the creation declares its intimacy with the Creator. Whenever we go to the parks in London, we can see how people relax and enjoy their leisure time during this pandemic. But we can observe how the plants and animals too show their divine characteristics which they share with humanity as well.
On the other hand, Creation reveals God’s creativity, for us to praise God. The Psalmist beautifully describes:
“When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars that you have established; what are human beings that you are mindful of them, mortals, that you care for them?”
( Psalm 8)
Even looking at the creatures we can reflect and learn the divine nature. Many times we would like to see/analyse only our life situations within or around us. We fail to see God’s creation, particularly during the changing seasons.
Obviously, knowingly or unknowingly, we are guided by the weather. We would like to connect our style of dress or to consume the right food according to the weather. But are we willing to learn the divine nature of God and His relationships from the creation every day in our lives?
The bright and sunny days are God-given opportunities to reflect on the environment and the lesson we can learn from it. May we connect and reconnect ourselves to God and extend our care and concern towards the environment where we live, to glorify God in this month!
The disciples were full of panic in the stormy situation in today’s Gospel. But Jesus was walking towards them on the lake and He encouraged them with His words and action. We learn to see the divine presence and understand the divine character in this season of summer.
Use the opportunity wisely with God’s wisdom and relax!
Have a blessed August!
