On 19th January 2014 when we met for the 1st time this year at the Hounslow service, the children were asked to imagine themselves as a decorated Christmas tree.
Guiding star – Is the Bible
Angel – Guardian angel
Baubles – represented the world. Different colours & sizes of baubles represented people all over the world
Lights – God’s light can shine through us
Presents or Gifts – Not only at Christmas. Our gift, all year along is the prayer we offer.
It was such a joy to learn from the children that they will treasure the decorated Christmas tree in their hearts as they face another year. As we are the decorated Christmas trees, we are called to love one another and show God’s love through our actions.
